God loves those who are hungry and contrite in spirit (Isaiah 66:2) and He fills them with His grace which is the only thing that satisfies our soul. The church in Laodicea was arrogant by saying that they needed nothing not only in their economic status but also in their spiritual status. God rebuked them that they were wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. Those who are spiritually destitute and empty will be filled with what satisfies our soul without money or cost. Spiritual hunger is the currency of God to buy the bread and milk that we need (Isaiah 55).
